PS-i Ultrasonic Leak Detector Kit PLANTscan

The PS-i by the American company PlantScan is a high-technology instrument of innovative design, developed after years of research and practical application in modern laboratories in the United States.

Its operating principle is based on the detection of ultrasonic waves generated by the turbulent flow of gases and liquids. When flow passes through narrow points (cuts, openings, etc.), a large amount of ultrasonic waves is produced, which can be detected with high accuracy by the device.

The PS-i does not simply detect the presence of a leak, but precisely identifies its exact location, allowing the technician to repair it immediately.

It is an essential tool that offers significant savings in time and cost, making it an ideal solution for refrigeration professionals and maintenance technicians.

Because it is based on sound detection rather than the chemical properties of gases, it can detect leaks from all gases, including nitrogen and vacuum. Its unique heterodyne ultrasonic converter accurately translates ultrasonic signals into audible sound, making it easier to distinguish between mechanical noise and leak sounds.

The PS-i can detect leaks under both pressure and vacuum in air conditioning systems, without being affected by wind or the presence of gases such as Freon in the environment.

It is capable of detecting Freon leaks as small as 84 g/year.

Its cost is lower than the loss caused by a 1/16" diameter hole at 90 PSI in a compressed air system over 7,000 operating hours, offering a net benefit that can reach up to 171%.
