ACRHDB2 Charging Valve & Schrader Core Removal Tool (1/4" Female & 5/16" Female) + 1/4" Male Side Port ACRTOOLS 

The ACRHDB2 Schrader core removal tool, suitable for 1/4" and 5/16" applications, is one of the most important components of a proper evacuation system. Removing the Schrader cores allows full, unrestricted flow through the service port, significantly reducing both evacuation and/or recovery times. Standard competitor core removal tools are designed only for operation under pressure, allowing leaking Schrader cores to be replaced without removing the refrigerant.

ACRTOOLS core removal tools can be used both under vacuum and pressure, allowing for standard maintenance as well as faster evacuation and recovery. A side port allows the hoses to be isolated in order to determine the vacuum level during the evacuation process.

Why Remove Valve Cores?

Schrader cores are designed to restrict flow and minimize refrigerant loss. Up to 90% of the access port can be restricted by a Schrader core. Removing them maximizes flow and can save hours on any job.

Hot Cylinders & Slow Recovery

A Schrader core acts like an expansion valve, converting liquid refrigerant into vapor and superheating the refrigerant. This causes the recovery cylinder to heat up and results in painfully slow recovery times.
