When dealing with very small leaks using ultrasonic leak detectors, the sound frequency often depends on the amount of turbulence created in the leak area. The greater the turbulence, the stronger the signal, while the smaller the turbulence, the lower the signal intensity. The lowest leak rate that produces minimal turbulence and is "detectable" is considered the "threshold." If a detected leak is at this level, pressure should be increased to generate greater turbulence.

This is precisely where we use the "Leak Amplification Chemical," a patented method we abbreviate as LLA (LIQUID LEAK AMPLIFIER). It is a uniquely formulated liquid with special chemical properties. Used as an ultrasonic "test bubble," a small amount of LLA is sprayed on a suspected leak site.

It creates a thin layer through which the escaping gas will pass. When it contacts a low gas flow, it quickly forms a large number of small "carbonic" bubbles that immediately burst. The result of these bursts is the production of an ultrasonic shockwave that can be heard as a crackling sound through the headphones. In many cases, the bubbles are not visible but can still be heard. This method is capable of detecting low-level leaks in systems, down to the order of 1x10^-6 ml/sec. It should be noted that the formation of small bubbles is due to the low surface tension of the LLA.

This feature can be negatively affected by other fluid leaks that might obstruct the LLA. For this reason, it is recommended to thoroughly clean the application area before using the LLA to ensure maximum effectiveness and avoid errors in leak detection.
