The SP-MC is a compact closed-top tool pouch accessible via a flap that opens from the top down. The flap features a zippered 2-way access pocket that can be reached from either the outside or inside of the bag. The SP-MC includes two external removable side pouches—one functions as a tool pouch and the other as a drill holster. The removable tool pouch has two main pockets sized for a screwdriver or pliers, a pair of thru-pockets, pencil pockets, a stainless steel tape measure clip, and an electrical tape strap. The removable drill holster can store any size drill from 12V to 18V and features 4 drill bit pockets, a stainless steel tape measure clip, and an optional lanyard can be fastened across the drill for additional security. The lanyard can be removed or pushed down if not needed. These extremely valuable removable side pouches can be clipped on your side while working on a ladder.

Keep the zippers clean and properly lubricated

Over time, dirt and debris can clog the zipper teeth, preventing them from staying closed. To avoid this, clean and lubricate your zippers twice a year (more often if you work on dusty construction sites). To clean the teeth: scrub them with soapy water using a toothbrush. After scrubbing, blow compressed air to remove any remaining fine particles not removed by brushing. To lubricate the teeth: apply a silicone spray, beeswax, or a zipper lubricant.

Protect the zippers from sharp objects and excessive heat

Any sharp object or heat source can permanently damage the zippers. Once a zipper tooth is broken or closed, the zipper will fail and in most cases cannot be repaired. Most broken zipper teeth we see are caused by sharp tools stored inside the bag with the sharp edge facing up. Always keep the sharp edges of your tools facing down inside the bag and away from the zipper teeth.

Do not Overstuff the bag

Overloading your tool bag will likely put excessive pressure on the zippers, beyond their design limits, eventually causing the zipper(s) to split. If you have to force the zipper closed, your tool bag is probably too full. Remove some items, rearrange, or proceed carefully, always bearing in mind that you risk voiding your warranty.
