This means with this label you will see annual savings in terms of energy usage, £’s from your electricity bill and of course CO2 from the environment!!

Carbon Neutral

We know we can’t avoid putting greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere even when we have minimised our impact to the max, so in simple terms we need to take out the carbon dioxide (CO2) somewhere else. When you see this label is means we have committed to carbon offset projects. These reduce greenhouse gases in equal amounts to what we are emitting during a product’s
manufacture and transportation or the activities of a service that we provide, thus making it Carbon Neutral.

We are pleased to announce that Greenwood’s Head Office and Unity CV100 fan are now Carbon Neutral. This has been achieved through working with Carbon Clear, a reputable carbon emission management company who specialise in offsetting projects around the world. We have selected to offset our carbon emissions through tree planting projects in Kenya and Uganda.

Basically, through photosynthesis (probably been a while since you heard that word) trees absorb carbon dioxide into their roots, trunk, branches and soil whilst releasing oxygen back out. The projects also involve local livelihoods by providing ongoing income linked to tree survival and
growth. This helps to reduce communities vulnerability to crop failures and other income related work Greenwood are committed to Carbon Neutrality and have plans in place to make further savings and offset other areas and products within the business during 2008.

energy efficient on the market. Each product’s specific test performance is used in place of the default settings in SAP to help further reduce DERs (Dwelling Emission Rate).
