VETO PRO PAC - TOOL BAGS PRODUCT CARE & MAINTENANCE
Keep your zippers clean and properly lubricated
Over time, dirt and grime will clog your zipper coils, preventing them from staying closed. To prevent this from happening, clean and lubricate your zippers twice a year (more often if you work on a dusty construction site).
To clean the coils: Scrub them with soapy water, using a toothbrush. After scrubbing the coils, blow them with air to remove any other fine hairs that were not removed with the brush. To lubricate the coils: Apply a silicone spray, beeswax, or zipper lubricant.
Protect zippers from sharp objects and excessive heat
Any sharp object or heat source can permanently damage zippers. Once a zipper coil is cut or snapped, the zipper will not work and in most cases cannot be repaired.
Most of the cut zipper coils we see are the result of sharp tools being stored inside the bag with the sharp side facing up. Be sure to keep the sharp edges of your tools facing down in your bag and away from the zipper coils.
Do not overstuff the bag.
Overloading your tool bag will most likely cause significant stress on the zippers, above and beyond what they were designed for and will eventually cause the zipper(s) to separate.
If you have to strain to close your zipper, your tool bag is probably too full... Remove something, rearrange, or proceed with caution, always keeping in mind that you risk violating the terms of your warranty.
