Reduction valve with left 1/2" ACME female thread and right 1/4" SAE male thread for connecting a 0.78kg OR 1.8kg, R32 or R1234yf refrigerant bottle to a service hose for system filling. Since refrigerant R32 belongs to the flammable group (safety group according to ASHARE A2 classification), unlike most HFC refrigerants a different type of thread is used in its packaging to avoid the risk of accidental connection of the wrong cylinder to the installation. To use refrigerant R32 in 0.78kg OR 1.8kg cylinders, it is therefore necessary to obtain a dedicated valve that allows connection to standard 1/4" SAE internal threaded hoses.
