Compared to the quality of companies such as Alco, Danfoss, Carly, etc., they are commonly accepted, but are clearly cheaper in terms of price.

The main function of the accumulator in a refrigeration or air conditioning system is to protect the compressor from returning liquid refrigerant. Liquid refrigerant can dilute the oil, wash the bearings, and damage the valves. The unevaporated portion of the liquid refrigerant returning from the suction line is trapped in the accumulator, allowing only the vaporized refrigerant and the oil to leave and return to the compressor. The accumulators feature a vessel of adequate size and an optimized U-shaped internal tube for minimizing pressure drop and maximizing the flow inside the vessel. Adequate oil return is achieved through an orifice protected by a strainer. The inlet of the U-tube is located above and behind the vessel inlet to eliminate any possibility of liquid carryover due to high velocity. The accumulators are manufactured from steel with copper brazed connections and are available with a pressure relief valve on larger models.
