MICRO-ELEBAR MAINTENANCE DECOMPRESSION VALVE +10/-18°C WITHOUT THE NEED FOR A HEATING ELEMENT FOR COLD ROOMS
Pressure Relief (Decompression) Valves for Refrigerated Rooms
Pressure relief valves are designed to equalize the internal pressure of the room with the external ambient pressure through ventilation. The absence of these components may cause various problems in the joints of the refrigerated rooms, ice formation, etc.
Method for calculating the required air quantity to equalize the internal and external pressure:
Q = K × V × Δt
Where:
Q = Required air quantity in litres per minute (L/min), K = constant 3.66, V = refrigerated room volume in cubic metres (m³), and Δt = maximum temperature variation inside the room during a one-minute period.
Example: Cold-storage room (positive-temperature application) with a volume of 60 m³ and a temperature variation during 1 minute of 2°C. Result: 3.66 × 60 × 2 = 439 L/min, required air quantity.
